The Animation Film Festival celebrates its 22st edition this year!
A well-known annual event for French cinema, the Animated Cinema Festival, organized by Association française du cinéma d’animation and the Institut français, is being held this year from October 11th to October 31st all around the world, around the theme “Dreams and Obsessions”.
In Cambodia, the Institut français has chosen to celebrate animated cinema from October 25 to October 28 ! For 4 days, the IFC invites you to discover short and feature-length films, as well as a range of workshops organized in parallel with the Media Library team. A rich and varied program intended for young audiences!
Some screenings are accompanied by 4 workshops offered by the Media Library team!
Full price: $2 per cinema screening, $3 per workshop

Early 20th century, Northern Italy. The Ughetto family, living through difficult times, dreams of a better future abroad. The story tells of Luigi Ughetto crossing the Alps to start a new life in France, thus changing the destiny of his beloved family forever. Chenghua is 9 years old and has to prepare a presentation on Space with her best friend. She can’t find the time she needs, as her parents are constantly asking her to translate for them. Chenghua’s parents don’t speak French and are so dependent on their child that they don’t realize they’re putting too much weight on her shoulders. Chenghua can’t take it anymore, and is looking to break away from her family. Her desire for space and her natural enthusiasm will help her take the plunge. Watch the trailer!
